Dr. Karen “KJ” Hummel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Spiritual Director having been educated and trained through the Art of Spiritual Direction program with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange in connection with Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Hummel obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology and served as a university professor for almost two decades where she continues to mentor and inspire hundreds of students. As a Professor of Psychology at Vanguard University of Southern California, her academic focus extends to Personality Theories, Positive Psychology, Counseling Methods, and Group Interaction. Her current passion is to work with others on identity clarification. She holds the belief that people have a much greater sense of well-being if they are able to know themselves, accept themselves, and live in peace as the people they were designed to be.
